Amongst all the chaos of organising our party we also got this Raleigh twenty overhauled and freshly spinning again.
A complete rebuild, but sadly couldn't get the 50 (!) year old dynamo running, electrics are a little out of my wheel house.
After the headache it caused with its nylon bush 'bearing' , steering lock mechanism, stuck cottered cranks, awkward chain sizing - I began to begrudge it.
But by heck after one little rip down the street to test ride it I couldn't help myself but really enjoy the ride and (try) to pop some wheelies.
When opening up the shop my dad gave me a box of old sturmey archer parts to rummage through, which really came in handy here!
