Pepe was one of the first customers at DBD V.1 on Dalry road. His 30 Year old Shimano STX RC rear mech had given up, and fortunately we had a spare to get him rolling again.
This time around the bike needed a bit more TLC. The Seatpost and stem hadn’t moved in around 20 years, and needed some extraction. The drivetrain was worn and needed new parts, but we got it all fixed up and rolling again.
The sun fade paintwork is fantastic, the fade from original purple to raw silver makes a great colourway.
Evidently when Pepe bought the bike for his 11th birthday second hand, he used to always leave it leant up against the fence that was facing the sun.
Multiple trips around Iceland and parts of Asia and Europe, this bike really has had a life and plenty more miles in it yet.
Rear rack and tool bag back on and ready for adventures.
